Konidela Kalyan Babu was born to Konidela Venkat Rao and Anjana Devi on September 2nd, 1971 in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh. He is the young brother of Chiranjeevi and Nagendra Babu. The name “Pawan” has introduced after his martial arts presentation and he holds a black belt in karate. Pawan Kalyan is uncle of Tollywood actors Ram Charan, Varuj Tej, and Sai Dharam Tej.

Personal Life

Pawan Kalyan was married to Renu Desai on 28th January 2003, an actress who acted with him in movies Badri and Johnny. The couple blessed with two children, a son named as Akira Nandan born in 2004. In 2010 the couple had given a birth to baby girl named Aadhya. Renu Desai is an actress and costume designer for most of Pawan Kalyan films. Pawan Kalyan trained in martial arts and he holds the black belt in Karate. He performed his skills in auditoriums and in movies. Pawan Kalyan is highly influenced by Che Guevara and Swami Vivekanandas philosophy.

Career

Pawan Kalyan entered into Telugu Industry with Akkada Abbayi Ikkada Ammayi as Kalyan Babu. The film got mixed views from the audience. His next movie is Gokulamlo Sita was an above average but his next movie Suswagatham was a super hit and his performance at the climax was memorable.

In 1998, Tholi Prema movie released and it is a milestone in Pawan Kalyans career. The love story got excellent response from the audience. The movie made audience recognize his inner talent in him. After the surprise blockbuster Tholiprema, Pawan Kalyan acted in Thammudu (1999). The comedy scenes with love and action entertainer are perfectly synced with the movie and become a blockbuster. After Thammudu, Kalyan co-up with Puri Jagannadh for his next film Badri. Initially, the film was rated as above average at box office. After Badri, he has done Kushi movie which is Tamil remake. Directed by S.J Surya and the movie has run for 1 year. It is all time blockbuster movie. Pawan Kalyan was well appreciated by audiences. After Kushi, Pawan Kalyan took a long gap of two years. He learned Aikido in Japan and then performed his skills in his next venture Johnny. Despite the movie was a disaster at box office.

Next movie is Gudumba Shankar directed by Veera Shankar and this movie performed moderately at the box office. Next films Balu ABCDEFG, Bangaram, Annavaram are not up to the mark movies and disappointed audiences. In 2008, Jalsa movie directed by Trivikram Srinivas has created a trend and movie has got the positive talk. Jalsa is highest grosser in Telugu film industry at that time.

After Jalsa, the subsequent release Puli has released with huge expectations and become a huge disaster movie. Once again Pawan Kalyan has disappointed with his movies like Teen Maar and Panja. In 2012, Gabbar Singh has created huge records and audience also enjoyed the movie. Gabbar Singh covered all angles of action, romance, comedy, and songs etc. Next movie Atharintiki Daredi set Telugu Industry records a trendsetter movie we can say. It is the family entertainer with power punch dialogues from Trivikram Srinivas. After Atharintiki Daredi, Sardaar Gabbar Singh, and Agnyaathavaasi are the flop at box office.
